I really love this program! I am a seamstress that works from home creating things for subculture fashion and I'm just thrilled with how nice and easy it is to use. I only downloaded it 50 days ago, and the wonder 60 day trial period is perfect to get to understand and love the program.
I'll definitely be purchasing.

You could use something else to track time on your phone or palm and then import it in Fanurio.

Currently, it is only possible to import time from another instance of Fanurio but we want to improve it to import time from any application that can export its time to a .csv file.

What do you think, does this sound like a usable solution?

Thank you for your quick response.

Yes, as I decide what software to purchase for billing this is a deciding factor, I do not always have a laptop with me but always have a phone or palm.

Thanks again,
Miccal

Hi Nicolae!

That's a great idea for handling pre-payments at the moment - thank you. I'll give it a try tomorrow.

I figured that adding pre-payments might be a tricky feature - hopefully you can figure out a nice way to handle it soon.

Thanks again for the awesome support - that was just 14 minutes since I posted the question before you answered :)

The pre-payments feature is on our todo list, unfortunately we haven't found a clean design for it yet. However, there is something you can do.

When a client makes a deposit or pre-payment for a project, add a service item and call it Deposit. That way, you have a record of the deposit. Then, when work is finished, create the invoice but don't include the deposit item. Add a payment to the invoice right after it is created to record the deposit. As you have already observed, payments can only be added to existing invoices. Then, you can delete the Deposit item.

What do you think?

Hi Nicolae - sorry - didn't notice your reply until now.

The best features so far in the new version for me are:

1) Having the Service Items and Expense Items grouped together - much more logical.

2) Being able to make part payments to invoices - NICE!

3) The new layout with the tabs is proving much more logical.

4) The much improved selections when generating reports - very, very nice.

I already have a new feature request and I'm hoping it won't be too difficult to add. :)

Would it be possible to have the ability to accept pre-payments for consulting? i.e.: clients can pay in advance and their account is held in credit.

When invoices are generated that credit is automatically applied to the new invoice - either paying it in full and leaving a partial credit left over, or reducing the amount owed.

I'm getting a lot of clients paying in advance now so this feature would be AWESOME if you can do it.

I'll send this idea by email to you too...

Keep up the great work!
